Graham Adair has been appointed to the position of business development manager with Balmoral Offshore Engineering.

Graham joins the company from Devol Engineering where he built up extensive experience of specifying and supplying thermoplastic product applications such as riser clamps, pin/box protectors, top tension riser (TTR) centralisers and various pipeline products for the oil and gas industry. He brings with him a wide and comprehensive network of contacts.

Graham said: “It is recognised that Balmoral’s ambition in the offshore sector is far reaching and the technology that the company has put in place to help that cause is impressive.

“Building on my industry experience of 22 years I am delighted to join the team and look forward to introducing Balmoral to a wider scope of companies and to generating new opportunities within our existing client base.

Primary tasks in Graham’s in-tray include the promotion of marine drilling riser buoyancy and ancillaries, developing and strengthening routes to market and introducing Balmoral to a wider audience. But, above all, winning orders!

Bob Haley has joined Balmoral Offshore Engineering as sales and business development manager for the US and Gulf of Mexico.

With more than 26 years’ experience in establishing relationships and providing sales and support Bob has been tasked with strengthening the company’s presence in the USA.

He has worked on both the drilling and production sides of the industry and is specifically focused on composite buoyancy and insulation systems. Bob has been involved with several pioneering projects that utilise these technologies in deep water.

From surface buoyancy to drilling riser applications, umbilical and pipeline buoyancy to materials below the mud-line, his experience and product knowledge helps guide customers in the right direction.

Bob explains: “Every company has learned lessons both from successes and failures of materials, designs and applications. My goal is to offer Balmoral customers the most technical and cost effective solutions on every project and to make sure it’s accomplished with honesty and integrity.

“I am delighted to join a Balmoral team which includes several accomplished individuals that have achieved many industry-firsts. We are the only buoyancy, insulation and elastomer product manufacturing company to provide the entire spectrum of materials, products and solutions - all supported by unrivalled engineering experience and a track record second to none.
