General Operators, Manufacturing (WebGO508)

These positions are based at the company’s manufacturing facility on the southern outskirts of Aberdeen. These are permanent posts (subject to satisfactory completion of a one-month probationary period), offering attractive terms and conditions and the opportunity of personal development to candidates of the right calibre.

Working 5, ten or 12-hour shifts per week, all applicants must be able to work within a rotating shift pattern, including weekends when required.

No specialised previous experience is required, as full on-the-job training will be given, but applicants must have a reasonable standard of numeracy and literacy. Prior experience in a manufacturing environment, an understanding of mechanical equipment, and a degree of mechanical aptitude would be advantageous. Other requirements are reliability, flexibility with regard to working hours, and a willingness to learn.

Project Engineer(WebPE108)

Reporting to the Projects Manager, the Project Engineer’s chief responsibilities will include the reviewing and scheduling of projects on award, preparing and monitoring project budgets and providing project status reports to management and clients. The Project Engineer will also participate in product testing and arrange third party witnessing where applicable.

This is a key position requiring excellent organisational and communication skills and an ability to deal directly with clients. The Project Engineer will have responsibility for the profitability of all projects under their control and for the procurement of all relevant raw materials.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level in an engineering discipline and have experience in a comparable role in a manufacturing environment. An excellent remuneration package reflecting the pivotal importance of this role awaits the successful candidate.

Glassfibre Laminators (WebGL108)

Immediate vacancies exist in our manufacturing facility in Aberdeen for experienced glassfibre laminators with at least two years’ experience of hand or spray laminating techniques. Applicants must be capable of working to close tolerances, demanding specifications and to very tight deadlines.

The scope of work will be varied and will demand attention to detail, the ability to follow written work instructions and procedures, and highly developed manual skills. Candidates must also be committed to the production of work to the highest quality.

Top rates of pay are available (potential earnings of £475+ per week) for laminators with the right experience and commitment. Accommodation may also be available where appropriate.

Production Supervisors (WebPS207)

These positions are based at the company’s manufacturing facility on the southern outskirts of Aberdeen. These are permanent posts (subject to satisfactory completion of a one-month probationary period), offering attractive terms and conditions and the opportunity of personal development to candidates of the right calibre.

An eight, 10 or 12-hour day shift system is in operation (12 hours on night shift), and all applicants must be able to work within a rotating shift pattern, including weekends when required.

For the Supervisory positions, previous experience in a manufacturing environment would be an advantage, as would recognised supervisory/management qualifications, but candidates with solid, hands-on experience will also be considered.

For Operatives, no specialised previous experience is required, as full on-the-job training will be given, but applicants must have a reasonable standard of numeracy and literacy. Quality Assurance Engineer (WebQAE907)

The opportunity exists for an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to join our manufacturing team in Aberdeen.

The successful candidate will have the following profile:
• Qualified to External Auditor level
• Minimum five years’ experience of auditing the quality systems of suppliers, vendors and subcontractors
• Experienced in monitoring the quality performance of a commercial organisation
• Highly developed written and oral communication skills
• Credibility at senior management level with customers, external bodies and internal contacts

Reporting to the Technical Manager, the Quality Assurance Engineer’s chief responsibilities will be:
• To provide line managers with training and advice in QA matters
• To coordinate the implementation of a Quality Management System across divisions
• To manage the QA Manual
• To conduct internal and external audits and issue reports
• To chair QA Management review meetings and distribute minutes
• To coordinate third-party audits and responses
• To provide pre-tender information and statistics on QA systems
• To coordinate and facilitate preventative actions and continuous improvement

Success in this pivotal role will require excellent organisational and communication skills, combined with an ability to persuade and motivate others.
