DAREDEVIL KYM DIVES IN TO FUNDRAISING FOR FRIENDS OF ANCHOR

DAREDEVIL KYM DIVES IN TO FUNDRAISING FOR FRIENDS OF ANCHOR

When Kym Mann’s godmother passed away with cancer at the beginning of this year, Kym embarked on a fundraising crusade for Friends of ANCHOR which (literally!) reached the skies.

Kym, from Kingswells, took the daring decision to do a sponsored tandem skydive in June of this year. She set off to raise £500 but thanks to her daredevil bravery and the generosity of everyone who supported her, she raised a staggering amount of over £1,700!

Kym’s fantastic fundraising efforts were in memory of Alison McInnes who had passed away on 31 January of this year, aged just 43, having sadly lost her battle with cancer. She had been diagnosed only a year earlier.

Kym says “Alison was like an Aunt to me and was always an inspiration for me and many others who were lucky enough
to know her. She will be forever sadly missed and always fondly remembered.”

From the team at Friends of ANCHOR thank-you so much for your courageous and passionate fundraising efforts in memory
of Alison McInnes. We’re sure her family, and everyone who knew her, would be incredibly proud.

Kym’s roll of thanks;
“I would like to thank everyone for their very kind sponsorships towards my sky dive, especially everyone at Burnett & Reid for indulging in my baking every Friday and really helping boost my donations. I am absolutely delighted about the amount we managed to raise and extremely grateful for everyone’s generosity. Also thank you to all the instructors at Paragon Skydiving Club, you all made the day truly memorable.”
