Mindfulness stress reduction course

A new 8 week course has been set up, for patients with cancer and their relatives, who are looking for new ways to live with the stress and uncertainty associated with a cancer diagnosis. The course is for patients after treatment finishes, and will provide teaching in a number of mindfulness meditation and visualisation practices which can help to create greater calm and perspective.

The course is free and will be run by Dr. Margaret McLean, Macmillan Psychologist, with the first course beginning in October, 2008.
