In loving memory

We have dedicated this page to your loved ones who have sadly passed away but who will forever be in your thoughts and hearts.

In loving memory of Marian Forsyth

marian forsythVery sadly Marian Forsyth, (aged 42), passed away at Dr Grays Hospital in Elgin on Sunday July 25th 2010. Marian had a very short, but brave battle with Sarcoma. She had suffered from Neurofibromatosis (NF) all her life but in early May 2010 it was discovered that one of her many NF lumps had changed state. She was diagnosed with a Malignant Peripheral Nerve Sheath Tumour (MPNST) which resisted both intense chemotherapy & radiotherapy.

Marian was a very loving wife to Colin for 20 years and a devoted mother to Caitlin for 18 years, daughter to Dave & Elaine and sister to Niall, Callum & Andrew. Marian had 4 nephews and a niece, but sadly never got the opportunity to meet her youngest nephew.

Donations in Marian’s memory have been made to MacMillan Support, Cancer Research and a £410 donation to Friends of ANCHOR.

"During her two week long visits to Ward 17, Marian always put on a brave face and embraced her treatment with her normal positive and bubbly nature. Marian & I both appreciated greatly the support from Dr. Bissett and his team. Thank you to all of the staff on Ward 17 who made Marian’s journey as painless as possible. Special thanks to the nurse who on first admission, realising it was Marian’s 42nd birthday, organised a cake for her. Our family would also like to thank the local GPs, the staff in Dr Grays Wards 5 & 7, The Moray Resource Centre, The Oaks palliative care centre and most of all the MacMillan Nurses, who we could not have done without. Thank you all."

He was married for 28 very happy years and his death has been a huge loss to all of his family and friends. Maggie and the children would like to thank the devoted staff in Ward 16 who Allan had nothing but the highest praise for.
